HOW TO VOLUNTEER

One source of Peace House Community (PHC) success is found from volunteers like you!  All are welcome to contribute.  Daily volunteers typically support community members in discussion, lead a group discussion on the topic of the day, and support a variety of PHC events.  There are also other volunteers who provide their skills and talents without being at PHC.

Our volunteers are touched by their experience at PHC; they’re often surprised by how much they learn and enjoy themselves.

Peace House Community is a very special place to visit.  So, why wait? Please contact one of our representatives to learn more!  Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

MAKE A GIFT

One hundred percent of annual revenue is provided by individual giving, and by grants from the Ministries Foundation, and several family foundations. PHC receives no government funding.  This level of generosity continues to keep our doors open.  Your gift goes directly to providing services at PHC and is tax deductible.

Contribute Financially

Your financial contribution to Peace House Community can be made by either mailing us a check or by authorizing an electronic payment by credit card.

To Donate by Check

Please make out your check to Peace House Community and be sure to include your complete mailing address so that Peace House Community can send you an acknowledgement receipt for your tax records.

Send your check to:

Peace House Community
1816 Portland Avenue
Minneapolis, MN 55404-2652

To Donate Electronically

As an alternative to sending a check by U.S. mail, you can contribute to PHC by authorizing a charge to your credit card. The link below provides access to the Peace House Community Donations web page of GiveMn.org – a secure website for a Minnesota organization that facilitates charitable contributions for many Minnesota nonprofits. (GiveMN.org is powered by the Razoo Foundation, a national 501(c) (3) that processes charitable contributions nationwide.)

Your Legacy Planning

To secure long term funding for Peace House Community to continue to help marginalized women and men in the Twin Cities, the Peace House Community Board of Directors established a Plan Ahead: Leave a Legacy, a planned giving program.

As you plan your legacy, please consider providing an unrestricted gift so we can direct the dollars to meet our most pressing needs and opportunities. When generous supporters choose to include us in their estate plans, they strengthen the hope and dignity of the less fortunate community in our midst.

If you would like to consider including Peace House Community in your estate plan, thereby leaving a gift that will continue beyond your lifetime, please follow the download the PDF files for instructions.
